I did post this on Discord for what its worth, but I prefer it here: I don't mind ads. But STOP the damned audio ones that are louder than my computer volume. Give us a way to quickly disable the audio if you have to, but the sudden crash of noise is NOT wanted!

I hear you. The ads were never more than 10 seconds on my PC until this evening. Now, one was 20 seconds long. That's not wanted either, particularly since you can't click off of them without refreshing your screen.

For the last couple of weeks or so, I get the same 30 second ad on pc...almost exclusively. I hesitate to call it an ad as it seems to have something to do with rap artists possibly or perhaps some sort of documentary and looks as though it would run for 30 minutes, more or less, if I'd let it. Not in the least bit interesting to me and I just delete it and the obnoxious sound track that accompanies the video.

I've been having an annoying problem. I'll get there is a treasure in my city. So I click on it. I watch the ad and when I click to get the reward for watching, I get a message, "You can't watch this video ad right now". No reward. But I watched the ad. Why don't I get the message when I first click on it instead after I've already watched the ad? And it seems to be a problem with how the ads are handed and not the particular ad as I've had this happen for a number of different merchants.

I've noticed that lately there are a lot more 30 second ads. When this first started, ALL of them were 5 second ads and I didn't mind that. Whenever I see a 30 second one I just click out immediately ... I'm glad they added that option without refreshing your screen. But it's still extremely annoying to waste time on it.

Not every add has that option on browser. Some have to run for 5 seconds before you can close them. No option to mark them as inappropriate as well. Very annoying.

If you can describe specific ads PM a mod with the details. On Discord, the mods mention that they want to know about any inappropriate ad, and I assume the same is true with these forums.

True, and they need the date, the time, a screenshot, and how it was accessed: Hobby room, Film Reel, research tree, troop refill..

If you play Elvenar via browser, I recommend playing it with the Firefox browser. It has an option to mute specific tabs so you can just shut off the volume for Elvenar entirely even if the ads ignore the in game volume options.

I also noticed that the PC ads are less obnoxious than the mobile ones. On moblie, turning off the ad is basically a puzzle while on PC you just have to wait for a timer to tick down and click the X.

I have to admit, I enjoyed the 5-10 second ads until this past week. Now, I've been turned off forever and won't click on them again. They have switched to constant 30-second almost-porn ads that are so distasteful I hate clicking now. No, they're not really porn, but if you have girls and guys wriggling against each other and girls in bikinis running their finger over their bras while licking their lips, everyone knows what you are meant to think. The worst part is, when you click on them you can't click out immediately. You have to wait a good five seconds before they get off your screen, and of course you lose the reward. I'm sick of them. Call me a prude, but I'm just not into multiple-people sex parties. Give me ONE good old-fashioned guy and that's good enough for me. I think Inno is going to the dogs .... and I don't mean nice little puppies. I mean the kind in those ads.

Darielle, I commented on this earlier and the content is not acceptable in the least. I had my grandkids with me over the weekend and they like to watch Papa play Elvenar. When I hit the ad and this came on the kids just sort of laughed but I was embarrassed for them having to have seen it. This should not be allowed and whoever it is among the Elvenar staff responsible for allowing this sort of crap should be looking for a new job.

I am still not watching the ads. I just clicking on that film roll once and directly back onto my city.

I would leave them film rolls completley alone, but it often felt to me like it is causing stream errors if not collected regulary.

Instead of collecting small rewards for consuming advertisements I like to concentrate on my optimizing my cities, which in my opinion brings greater revenue and much more fun.
I like playing the game much more than watching ads. I could watch ads nearly anywhere if I would like to but that's not what I am up to in Elvenar.
It is somehow funny to me that in the past I was "attacked" for posting too much (Rap-)music in forum and nowadays my US-fellows are telling me that among the ads are some kind of really bad taste Rap Videos and they are asking themselves why Inno is doing this.

I've checked several times per day for the last week or so and it seems that this ad is looping on pc as it's the only thing that plays. So apparently not monitored either.

Guess it had to come to this eventually. Now we have movies? Not ads about a movie...the actual movie with credits and all. Who approves this stuff? They have window rattling volume but at least they don't have ads. I'm classifying all of this as totally useless and worthy of ignoring.

I just don't click on anything that has an ad attached to it so I never see an ad. Problem solved.
