Ancient Wonder shards

When i contribute to someones ancient wonder and i have not researched that wonder yet do i get the shards from the chests?? Because if i do get them they dont show anywhere...

You do get runes from a chest even though you have not researched them yet. In the app, if you click on an ancient wonder you have not unlocked, it will show you if you have any runes for that wonder.
