This is working properly. You misunderstand the mechanism of the culture bonus. The culture listed on a building is the value for 100% culture. The requirement for a higher culture level such as 150% is more than the listed value.

The reason the "culture required for current level" went down is that you dropped to a lower culture bonus (125%). Add your current culture to the culture required for the next level and you can calculate the culture value of the building (9 culture) at 150% culture by subtracting the old total required to the new total.

Under the new scenario, you would need 1400 culture to maintain the 150% bonus; previously it was 1300 required. As you can see, the additional culture required to maintain a high culture bonus can grow quite dramatically as you add population and buildings that require culture. This seems to be designed to require neighborly help (or buying cultural buildings with diamonds, or both) in order to maintain high culture bonuses.

no that is not true because if you look at the culture to go above 680 is what is required, for 125% look through the Elvenar game play rules, and even for a second if your theory was true it is MASSIVLEY then still deducting the wrong amount of culture points, ( not by just a little like in my video, it clearly says on there what is required to stay at 125% 150% and then 106% etc. That mark down is there for a reason so people know how close they are to getting bumped down to the next culture level or to go up. In you theory that would make no logical 3rd grade sense to just randomly throw out a number each time! If we go by your theory then there is no reason to have culture number shown and all and should not be shown , just a random guessing game like it is now, They made it very easy to understand which is great!! but its just not working the way it should.

Before the upgrade: 150% requires 1300 surplus and 160% requires 2000, you had 1317, so 683 more would make you 160% level.
After the upgrade: 125% requires 680 surplus and 150% now requires 1400, you had 1308, so 92 more will make you 150% level.

You dropped to 125% level because 150% now requires 1400 instead of 1300 because of the upgrade, anybody with '3rd grade sense' can do the simple math and see that the required culture surplus for each level won't stay the same forever, I don't know how you can so arrogantly attack other people's 'theory' when in fact it's truth.
