How do the buildings connect in this chapter? There is no street to unlock that I can see. How does the Wisdom square and Campus connect?

The wisdom square has to connect to a road and the campus has to connect to the wisdom square, then the Faculties have to attach to the campus. Try to find a city on your map when visiting your neighbors that is in S&D to help you figure out the best fit.

The lack of guest race road connections is a new challenge for S&D. The buildings connect by being placed next to each other, you will see a similar concept used in the next event.
