How do I summon units with an Instant?

Go to the enchantments inventory and click it.

Go to your inventory and find the page with instants. Troops are at the end on both desktop and mobile. Click on 3 of them, and this will clear the quest to summon 3. If you do not have any, for the next 18 hours you can try to win some drone riders from the chests.

Thanks, Lelanya. I've never had any, apparently. and don't have anything following my time-reducers, and still learning new things about this game, even after 4+ years!

You could also do the alternative quest, which is negotiate provinces I think. That's what I did.

I did that, too. Even though I got quick responses to my post, sky essence was awaitin'! I did learn that summoned troops show up at the end of the time reducers.
