3D was the Archmage - now we have a temporary Archmage who only took the position as a favor but doesn't want to stay on in it, so I'm not sure what will happen with our FS & it is a nice group of people.

RIP
Bobbipiazzi
She actually didn't quit she was banned 1st from forums now it appears to be from game also
You will be missed
Yeah... apparently the devs are allowed to put pornographic content in the game, but players are banned for reporting it on the forum. The whole thing with bobbipiazza being banned makes me feel sick. How the heck are we supposed to report things if we're banned for reporting them?

Me. I'm halfway out the door my city has been nuked and I am trying to distribute my goods it has actually taken days but all my 3-tier goods are finally gone.

Not to throw a wrench into things, but the number of people leaving that don't contribute isn't going to matter I don't think. It would be the paying ones that leave that make a difference. I would think. I contributed once at the beginning, I wanted to do my part, but not since then so my leaving I don't think will matter and for that matter, neither will my whining. I also think that if all the players of all online games banded together, pressure would be put onto each company by the other companies not to mistreat the players.

on the lighter side, there is a maximum limit of sixty trades up (per player I guess).

Edited to add: i lost over forty players from my area when they put the treasure chests in the tech tree. That was the beginning. I never had more than ten on my map after that. I had to frantically scout every day , day after day to keep ten people on my map.

I will not leave without saying goodbye, so if I just disappear without a word---well you know...

Unless Inno has any way to pay attention, they aren't going to know that high ranking players quit unless they leave their city exactly as it is & stay highly ranked. Like Boldrick809 in my FS was way up there in points but you'd never know it now if you look at his city because he sold off all the buildings which decreased his rank, liquidated all his goods to the FS on the cheap, and then used streets to spell words out. LOL!

Honestly, I like the second option better but I really hope that either way, mass exits are being noted.

Gsark - I think that you are right that if it's not a "whale" who leaves, it may not matter, but I hope that the ripple effect will create enough waves in FS or in neighborhoods that most players are affected or frustrated by it.

Leaving your fellowship, and making one last tiny fellowship with only yourself with the name Protesting in the title, will show up every time anyone looks at the ranking list. It is better than the city names because those you only see if you actually go to a player's city. At least then everyone can see the impact of these changes clearly.

Dear All, I wrote a letter today that I want to send to developpers in order to they modify the latest updates for battles, to make them less unfair and mostly in order to they do not ruin our enjoyment of playing this game. I plays Arendyll, Wyverness, archmage of Wyvern's diamond. Before quiting the game, try with me to convince the devs to fix the system of battle. This the letter I want to send them to avoid a massive exodus which is starting..

"Dear developers,
I'm Wyverness, archmage of Wyvern's diamond in Arendyll.

After the latest Elvenar update and with the addition of a new battle system, a great number of players have expressed their disappointment and even left the game.

I am writing to you to point out that these updates have become unfair and far too complicated to win. When your troops are only 450 units and you fight with a squad of 1,500 archers, whatever the capacity of your troops, the mathematical law takes over and it is almost impossible to conquer or complete a province now. Catering is a possibility but dramatically drains resources making it difficult to help your fellowship with trades or simply advance forward at a decent pace.

I send you this message after contacting several archmages who all suffered of collateral damage: good number of players have left the game, many of them belong to the top 100.

I wish to draw your attention to the fact that your game loses interest when the abandonment of it is so massive. The forum abounds of messages reflecting this frustration.

I contacted many players who are ready to sign a letter to show you how committed we are to the game which you are about to destroy unknowingly. This is the only choice that you made that deserves we warn you express our disappointment. Many successful additions and enhancements to the game include the following: the choice of breeds, the summer solstice, different technologies development, Ancient wonders...

Even if battles are optional to grow and progress, all players are fond of power and ability to win these engagements in order to procure rewards such as expansions.

I urge you to return the previous concept before fixing the current one so that the conquered provinces allow us, AGAIN, to develop our cities at a faster pace than that in which we have been stuck since your latest updates. We want changes but not to the detriment of the quality of the game. Before proposing battles upgrade, give us the full version, complete and ready for use.

Best regards,
Wyverness"

Sadly, I have to say that I am not a fan of the new changes. I'm a relatively new player, thought I've played similar type games before. It was hard enough to find the room to place the buildings the quests kept requesting without being able to rotate or store anything (which was a frequent request: denied), and don't get me started on trying to rearrange a packed city when you opened a new expansion or your workshop upgrade required yet more space. Being able to battle, cautiously, was the one thing that saved it. Upgrades in research were too few and far between, not to mention ridiculously expensive. Fighting was challenging; they had more squads than you, they had access to different troops than you, but once you learned the strengths and weaknesses of both yours and their armies, it was doable. I still couldn't spam battles because I lost a decent amount of troops (darned cannoneers), but it was POSSIBLE. I was at the point of researching treants one night before bed, woke up the next morning, and it was grayed out. What the heck? I scrolled back, and discovered that there were two "new" troop upgrades to research, or so I thought, until I checked out my troops and discovered I'd gone from approximately 80 troops per unit, down to 54. OK, I thought, no big deal...I can re-spend the kp, the money (which is bs but whatever) and the mats...ouch. That's what really hurts. I'm struggling to get by as it is with my manufactories. Then I went to check out a battle field I hadn't finished clearing, and I was floored. 200+ (upgraded) troops, versus my 54? I tried a battle with the least amount of opponents I could find, and got annihilated; completely wiped out. My troops were getting one-shot by the superior numbers. And negotiating was out of the question; looks like those prices have been tripled as well. If I can't fight to get my upgrades, I can't build new manufactories to pay the exorbitant fees. Basically, I can spend a week doing nothing more than collecting resources to try to get ahead, and I'm aware things take longer and longer the higher you get...but doing supplies every five minutes and nothing else gets boring.

Games should always have something to be able to do, to keep a player interested. While waiting on timers, I'd read, or watch netflix, or play a completely different game on my second screen. Think of the old warcrafts: there was always something that needed attention, and it didn't take three days to explore a province that you then couldn't battle anyways. It was hectic, sometimes, trying to manage all that was getting thrown at you from three different sides...but it was never boring. Doing nothing but collecting supplies for a week, so I can afford to purchase a research, to spend all my tools, to collecting supplies for another week without any other progress? Pass. I've checked in a few times to see if they fixed the patch, and to see on the forums that I'm not the only one upset by the changes, but they stayed. My ranking also has shot up due to the mass of people that have exited the game.

Not only do the developers not seem to care how their faithful members feel, but when I had a legitimate problem with my password no longer being recognized, I put in three tickets, explaining that it said it didn't recognize my email, but I was able to log in through facebook (under the same email). I tried resetting the password, and never received the email from them. Three times I explain this, and they tell me to try resetting my password. I try again, and when I never receive the email, explain again that I never receive the email. I am contacting them through a second account, since mine was bugged. They tell me the second email is the one attached to my account. Um, not through the email address I listed in all the tickets, or that was tied to facebook, OR the player name I'd given them. But apparently that's too difficult to read all the way through. =P All in all, not my best customer service experience, and judging from the uproar over the patch, and people banned for expressing their opinions, I'm not the only one getting a bad experience.

Seen as how the changes seem to be sticking around, there's a few more names to add to the departed list:
Sileya. Iirraik. Saeleah. Katlenne. Reabnagol. Nagolmatrix. Jukebox. Katlynne. Rip my fellowship mates.

Another player - ranked 410 in Winyandor - just left my FS. UGH!

Bye to Tinglelips - he was my biggest competitor in the FS since we were both close in ranking, but I ran into the Orc limits & fighting boundaries earlier than he did so I seriously slowed down. Now he hit that and hes' just done. :(

I had nuked my city as much as I could, and have spent days spending down my goods, I had almost a hundred thousand and even making the best trades I could, it took that long to dispose of them. The other players in my fellowship were so far behind me most of the time they couldn't get my stuff. I just left my fellowship so they could have my spot for an active player.

And now I KNOW something is going on because although not having played in days, I was steadily RISING in the rankings. Whhaaa?

I'll miss my fellowship. They were a quiet bunch, but that was good no drama. I'm still playing sunken city by which we were betrayed just like elvenar, and zynga's coral isle which has not ...YET! Maybe I'll stick around the forum a while, although it has gotten really quiet here of late.

hugs to all.

I can add GlasTor, ATHENA THE SEXY, Refey, jillfern, and Rhiki, looks like maybe a few more as well, but not sure on them yet. From my fellowship alone! Its tough to keep the fellowship going when there are many leaving, I'm in constant recruiting mode lately.
