Issues with being able to use trade/respond to messages and chat

I use the forums and Gems of Knowledge to share information with my FS. If I copy and paste info into either chat or messages, I can then no longer use chat, make trades or respond to messages unless I log out and log back in. Others have expressed the same or similar issues. Using Chrome and or Firefox. For me it occurs once I use "paste" or if I switch over to another tab in browser [to read forums, etc] and switch back.

Is this a known bug? It's been going on for quite some time and is a real PIA.

There is a similar issue many are having while switching tabs, the whole screen freezes. The fix for that is to resize the window, or simply switch from max to windowed. Does that fix your issue as well?
