It's a long list, but the most common ones are some buildings in the culture tab (under building tab) that give you mana and culture such as the weeping willow. Also you can build mana sawmill from MA that also gives culture and mana, plus most event buildings, including the evolving buildings that you win while you are still in chapter 9 and 10.

@Skila First you must be in the Woodelves chapter or higher. It is impossible to make mana before Woodelves. Once you have advanced to Woodelves there a number of buildings which will produce mana. Weeping Willows will do so and they are always available in the build tab (they are a culture building). But Weeping Willows are not that efficient on a square for square basis. Woodelf level Festival Merchants crafted in the magic academy will be your best bet. Mana Sawmills are also decent. A number of the evolving buildings will switch to producing mana when upgraded to Woodelves level, as will both Mana Plants and Gum trees in the Moonstone Library set.

Good point. I forgot the possibility of some players wanting to do building upgrades of the next chapter before finishing their current one!

Coming out of orcs, I liked the weeping willows because they offered a lot of culture which had wilted in orcs. They also didn't have a lot of the newer mana event buildings back then, so fewer choices.

The MH tech requiring mana for the upgrade comes in the middle of the Woodelves tech tree, so mana will have been available for a long time before then. Looking at your Winyandor city (if that's the correct one), it looks like you are still in orcs or just starting Woodelves. There are 5 required techs that require mana plus the MH one before you can upgrade it, so plenty of time before it's a worry.
