How about giving us the option of selecting a different skin for the forums. For me the colour is washed out and bland. It also makes the text hard for me to see.

I use bold for that reason...

It's sad that you should have to do that. Designers of systems for displaying text too often favor visual design elements over legibility. Just look at anything designed by Apple (gray micro text ... really). Don't get me wrong, I love apple products, but I dread having to read anything they print.
