What does this research do?

It tells me what it does, but not what it will do/mean. What does the Spot of Whispering Trees and Well of Floating Islands help with and do? The wiki was of no help.

They add to your Culture. That little icon at the top of your interface that has the clouds on it, to the left of it there is a harp with numbers...you want to make the clouds go away. Make the sun shine. When you reach 170% culture, your residential buildings, goods and supplies buildings are boosted to their maximum output. You have to keep your Culture up. The Whispering Trees and Floating Islands are cultural buildings. Build them, and your Culture Level goes up.

They are both culture buildings. The well of floating islands I think is a premium culture building that you have to purchase with diamonds, while the spot of whispering trees is the free to build one.. In the case of the whispering trees they will add a significant amount more of culture then what you can currently build

It can be quite a challenge figuring things out, when you've never played a city-building game. It would be great if the tutorial was more in-depth and clear, because not everyone is a literal thinker; they do better when taught by example, and the tutorial needs more of both.

https://www.gamersgemsofknowledge.com/ is a great resource, as is http://www.elvenarchitect.com/, and of course, you can always ask on the forum. There are a lot of helpful folks here, and you should never hesitate to ask. If you don't ask, you don't learn.

I always thoughts games like this would be boring and childish, but when I came across Elvnar I fell in love with the graphics. Now I am hooked.
