starting dwarf tech tree

So do you start to replace elven buildings due to space or do the dwarves need their own section

which is part 2, do the elf buildings still work when you lay down dwarf streets?

Also kinda unclear by description which portal you need first.

You'll be able to upgrade your regular buildings. The upgrades look more dwarvish, apparently.

There's only one portal per chapter, so there's not really a choice, other than yes/no, and just the Granite and Copper goods buildings need the special roadway that's used in your annex, which DOES eat up some of your regular space.
