Steel manufactory

I saw in few TOP ppl only steel manufactory and eventualny some planks manufactory but not marble. Why? Its better to have only steel and trade it for other sources? Maybe someone from beta tests can answer?:p

My game has evolved into a much more casual play on Beta, so I have all three, though if you consider that your bonus resource generates at a rate of...what 4x the others? Then the space might be better used for generating your bonus and trading it off. As an elf player on Beta, I prefer aesthetic to personality. Were I to try playing human I may opt for more industrial functionality.

Early game i run all, once your into the tier 3 goods thou youll start running out of space/population so have to do more boosted and trade as much as possible, using the wholesaler to fill in gaps. Lot depends on your nieghbours and if/how they trade. With the repeatable quests for gold/supplys thou, isnt to tough to get any short you have from the wholesaler.

I still run 1 of each non boosted good on the beta server (compared to 3-4 when i started. Is just the way i do it, doesn't make it right.

Wholesaler you can trade goods (that your boosted for), coins or supplys for goods you do not have boosted. Rates are fairly high.

I believe that the majority of players are feeling a little frustrated at the rate of producing steel and marble for construction of their cities.
It has been shown by the amount of inactive cities displayed on the world map that players give up either because of the insufficient amount of steel and marble being made, the high cost of such goods on offer from the trader and or the lack of players offering trades, (some also have given up due to there being no pvp ability)
A vicious circle my friends indeed.
How can the game progress and grow if the game makers make it so difficult for players ?
A remedy ...
Increase the amount of steel and marble made per round from factories.
Lower the cost of marble and steel required in the battles with province mobs, the defenders are far too many for the ratio of winning a province .
Players have a choice in either battling a new province to gain the above mentioned goods for their construction requirements or buying them from the trader which in turn reduces the players ability to progress in (a) city growth, (b) winning battles due to having no troops strong enough to win that province & (c) only coins are the main rewards for helping other players cities with happiness, perhaps it would be of greater help if 50% of happiness rewards could be in either steel /marble offsetting the very low rate of manufactoring of same goods.
Coins can be acquired from the housing at a good rate if such housing is upgraded enough, but it seems to me that even if players make steel and marble factories to mirror the plank factory production there will still be insufficient steel and marble made required to meet the quest needs and construction needs.

In my view the game is a wee bit unbalanced and these difficult areas need to be addressed as soon as possible in order to retain players that are just giving up playing, the more players that leave will result in a larger area of no-mans land devoid of life ( active players) which in turn will discourage other players.
Come on Elvenar, give your players a break and make it easier for them to grow, if players grow so will the game.
Happiness is not just for the culture, players need to be happy also.

Please realize that the game is not a final product quite yet. While your suggestions are welcome, note that the version of the game is currently V0.14. Version 1 has yet to release. The game is being developed from scratch, as early as 5 months ago - this game did not exist even in the closed-Beta phase. It has come quite a way since that first clunky interface, however :) and it will get better over time and will be adapted to meet player's wants.

Furthermore, as players we all have the chance to help shape this game. The developers are paying attention, and I'm sure new updates will bring new features soon.

its okay i think

best if you produce one type
buy all other
you can produce all 3 types of lvl 1 doesnt really worth after trader
wholesaler offers 1:5 the others for your boosted or coins or tools, 2x from relics is easily avaliable and players in your range often trade 1 on 1
there is too small active player base to only trade resources

Check your research tree and see what boost you get. Then construct this manufactories because after some levels they are getting bigger and you will need more space. Keep an eye on wiki to see the final size.

You can also go to your Main Hall and then click on Relics - this will show you your 3 boosted goods at the bottom (with locks on them if you haven't researched those specific boosts yet)

I think an easier fix would be to decrease the amount of materials it costs to upgrade steel and granite production sites. I have 8 granite sites on my wood producing elves. 5 of them are level 3 cause it does not cost materials to go further and 3 are higher level. When I start producing Silk I will get rid of some of the level 3s in order to make room. Had the cost of upgrading them be cheaper than I would keep 4 or 5 of them at a higher level.

Granted my choice of play is based on having zero neighbors that are active and therefore I am get no daily assistance and only 2 other people that show up in my trade window and they are both very casual players so they don't trade that much.

Yeah with a dead world its very hard to get to the top tier of the culture boost. But yet they make another world instead of booting none active players to fill them spot. Kind of dumb really.
