Tournament troop emphasis

I have a recollection that with the new tournament there is a level of emphasis on certain troops in certain weeks. However I can't seem to locate this information, anyone know if this is correct and what the emphasis is?

I just go to my map and visit a province for that tourney and click around to check out some encounters. Those are the same enemies that will show up.

No that is for the old tournament. The new ones are random enemies but there is meant to be a higher chance of certain things. They completely disconnected provinces and tournaments, so sadly cant use one to learn the other.

Do you ment this list?

Marble: Heavy Melee ,
Steel: Mage ,
Planks: Light Range ,
Crystal: Mage & Heavy Ranged ,
Scroll: Light Ranged & Heavy Ranged ,
Silk: Light Melee & Heavy Melee ,
Elixir: Light Range, Light Melee & Heavy Melee ,
Magic Dust: Light Melee, Mage & Heavy Ranged ,
Gems: Light Melee, Heavy Ranged & Heavy Melee ,

Those are the main enemies in each tournament.
I do not know who posted it first where as I saved this in a personal file.

It's still pretty close. I just checked my provinces. The only difference is I have drone riders on my map but i have war dogs in tourney. Both are still light melee.

I did the same as @CrazyWizard and saved to a personal file. My list is the same. The only note I put with it was that it was from the Beta forums, but didn't save the name of the poster.
Edit to add:
@crackie
The difference is that in the old elixir tourneys, for the enemy you would only ever see DroneRiders(early provinces)/AncientOrcs(later provinces, and for all provinces Thief, Bandit, Orc General.
Now it is possible to see enemy mages, enemy heavy range, as well as other enemy light range, light melee, and heavy melee. For me, seeing enemy Knights isn't even close to the same as seeing enemy Orc Generals, and those enemy dogs range is tougher to counter than the drone riders/ancient orcs.

Thanks @CrazyWizard that is it.

@crackie if you look at the list by crazy wizard and the old tournament information you will see they are quite different. Old system required planning around best troops to specialise for a tournament. Current one is a boring copy/paste every week.

Edit: hehe found the same list in an old file of mine.

I still use different 5 day booster buildings depending on which tourney it is. And I do use slightly different troops depending on which tourney it is (but I do have a preference for using lr/mages whenever I can).

I think it was either Karvest or Dony who posted the list in the beta forum, although I am not sure if I remember correctly.

Most likely, with over 100+ pages to sift through it is hard to find. I did see Marindor mentioned a couple of them as well which matches that list.

In my own experience, the new battle system doesn't lean on the same troops by province type like the old system. The most dramatic change I have seen is with the Steel provinces. On the old system, you could just keep punching the Light Range button, and with some Enlightened Light Ranges you could totally rule Steel. Forget that, Steel is practically where Light Range goes to die now. You used to always get some encounters without the thieves, no longer. Some of the troop recommendations out there are sometimes like a bait-and-switch sales experience. For now, I don't see that primary-secondary-tertiary troop recommendations by province work very well any longer. I am mostly just doing the sort of troop matching others have mentioned. Sure patterns can develop, and you can take advantage of those. But, an overall successful recommendation? Not so much.
