I have yet to be able to complete a tourney. maybe the length should be increased?

What do you mean by "finish" the tournament? Complete all 6 levels of your opened provinces or open all 10 Chests? To complete all 6 levels takes planning as there is a 16 hour cool down period until the next level of completed province opens. To squeeze all 6 in the 5 days allotted, you have to get up early and/or stay up late at least one day Unless of course, you have won a Polar Bear that when fed will reduce the time between levels or have opened the Time Warp Ancient Wonder (chapter 14) which will also reduce the time. If you mean open all 10 chests, that takes 40k points, an average of 1,600 tournament points per person in Fellowship of 25 people. Can you be more specific on what you hope to do?

The tourney is over 5 days, but in number of hours it is only 4 days. If you do a round as soon as it starts, you have 16 hours of spare time that can be split between the other 5 rounds. That averages out to a round every 19 hours. Actually, less since you need time to do that last round.

Regardless, @alainemk is right, you need to lose some sleep once to get that 6th round done unless you have the Polar Bear (or Timewarp AW).

A level 1 Polar bear cuts time by 10%. So even if you don't have artifacts to evolve it, it might be worth crafting in the Magic Academy.

That reduces the time cooldown time to 14 hours and 24 minutes. If at level 10, it's reduced down to 12:48. So, better sleep even if it's level 1.
