No, the guest race buildings from Amuni are not needed. The last story quest for the Amuni is to sell the Temple of Dunes and you receive 2x 5hr timers instants as a reward. https://elvengems.com/quests/story-quests/guest-races
As far as the guest race goods, you should be able to see all requirements in the tech tree, and roads only require mana, coins, supplies.
