It's been said that the devs are possibly incorporating our feedback into "possible future updates down the line".

Here is why I don't believe that.

Elvenar has been hemorrhaging players since the orc update. If the devs really were going to use player feedback to stop the mortal wound, patch 1.14 would include something to try to fix the bleeding. That's two or three release cycles down the line from the release of orcs, at least. Instead, 1.14 includes improvements to the diamonds buildings, which were released just as players started protesting that the game is horribly unbalanced. Instead of fixes to the games which respond to player feedback, the devs are introducing blatant money grabs. The message isn't "we are listening to your feedback." The message is "we are intentionally trying to give you minimal supply increases unless you pay large amounts of money to us and if you don't like it, quit".

Again, I really feel sorry for the moderators. I would go so far as to say hey, anyone who is considering becoming a moderator, don't. The devs are actively at war with the players and the moderators are caught in the crossfire.

Guys, it's clicking a button and takes, what, 1.5 seconds from the time the image loads until it's gone? There are so many other things to be irritated with over this game. ;D

Having a niece that is a game developer... here are her mindsets. "I design games, the graphics and the story line. it's my baby.. I know what I want to happen. sometimes players disagree with me. but.. they are not the ones designing the game. I am and I know what I want. and that is what is going to happen because it is my vision.

now.. I love my niece.. oh so much.. and she loves me.. smiles.. but oh my gosh... do not interfere with her vision of what she is looking for in the game she is working on. and yes I have spoken to her about other games and ... oh yes.. developers are oh so damn protective of their work, the game, and what they want the game to become. and according to her, gamers resent others telling them how they should make the game act and respond.

as a former game forum mod, I remember the hour or so on line chats with the developer liason... and we would get shut down in a nice way if our conversation was something the devs were not open to. and the liason always know what was up and so forth.

Mods.. have such a crappy job. and all should be given major hugs.. I have said over and ove.. it is a thankless jog. it is stressful... IF a mod if really trying to help players... some mods do get the big "I am king don't mess with me" mindset. sigh... they suck rotten lemons and yes I have seen at least one on this forum. but there are some really wonderful mods.. Elfwine is so dang awesome. an there are a few more almost as good.

the thing is ... we are all human... we all have out vision of what should be. and sadly not everyone agrees with us on this. smiles. especially the game developers. they truly do not see things our way... nor do they want to... they are the artists, the develoeprs, the designers, the creators, smile.. and input from the outside is just not kosher. smiles.

If you see a level 19 dust manufactory, you wouldn't call the developers artists, cause that is just disturbing and wrong. Dust doesn't come out of things that look like that.

So as the saying goes "Curiosity killed the Cat". Have read numerous posts about the looks of these level 19 dust factories, had to go find a city with them. Good grief, what were they thinking. I'm an adult and can deal with the subliminal imagery I saw but for a game that can attract young children/ preteens, early teenagers, that is an image which should not be placed into a game.

edit. okay. I have uploaded a pic of the level 19 dust factory. I can def see how some people would draw a vulgar conclusion from it. However I will choose to simply take it at face value. 1 large 2 small mushrooms. My question is how a mushroom gives dust. The earlier factories looked like a factory and then they suddenly morph into a mushroom. Raising a son, well... at 12 -13 they are fascinated with their reproductive organs. and see them in everything. smiles. Actually it starts at about age 1 day and continues until about age 100. lol...

anyway... I'm okay with the design as it is fantasy.

At one time I thought it would be a good thing but the abuse they receive from other players changed my mind over time

If you find one kick it and 'dust 'will fly out of it
As for the shape of level 19 dust manufactories they are mushroom shaped
At least 60% of wild mushrooms grow to be that shape in some form

Men might not have an issue seeing pink "organs" sitting around their city, but they sure have no doubt what they look like. I have had a huge roar of laughter from every single person I have shown those to. Some have shielded their kids eyes. Some have been uncomfortable. Others have been fine. That is true for all nudity. Some people are fine with it, others not so much. Say what you want, but those pink really tall shafted mushrooms with the large pink mushroom cap bear a striking resemblance to other objects.

I completely and totally agree. Oh...and that picture Jewess posted, isn't even quite as bad as they look in a city. And just wait until you see them really large on your screen. Tanjab on Arendyll has a bunch. I am over 50 and they make me really uncomfortable. Then.....just wait until you see them in a city filled with the drab brown and brown and brown orc stuff. I will not mention what I think a rally point looks like. The artists aren't subtle.

So what if they are? Are you so misogynistic that you think that no one should give a darn if women are uncomfortable because women don't matter?

fyi....it isn't only women who don't want them in their city. Many straight men aren't that thrilled at staring at whole ton of them on their screen all day either.

You are right that we can't even talk about the game Elvenar on the Elvenar forum without risking permanent ban. How messed up is that? If that doesn't scream that something is horrifically wrong, nothing does.

smiles. I have 4 brothers, 8 male cousins, and I taught biology for a few years. so I am fairly comfortable around males and think I have a pretty good understanding of them.

Actually to me, the pic looks like someone taking a siesta. So I guess they do not bother me at all.

I think you should go find one in a city and look at the animation and then see how you feel.
