I think it's fine as it is.
Right now, with the help of a few MM spells a week, I can do close to 4k points in tourney and turn a net gain in goods weekly. If the cap were raised, it would be either easier to hit the same level of performance or I could hit higher with my current effort. That means overall the challenge of the game is reduced. I kinda rather that not happen
