Whether its "do X Spire/Tourn enounters" or the fact there's only
X amount of total tasks. The biggest problem to a solution is ...
"abusability". Add in the fact that Inno, forces players to progress,
and you have a recipie where most ppl are not happy, most of the time.
Exactly how do you stop some players, with old accounts, spells up
the wazoo, and fully leveled AWs.... from completeing ALL the reg tasks
in <24 hrs..... while @ the same time making the event playable for a
CH 1-3 player.... its almost impossible.
Inno's tried unlim tasks, and we know that was horribly abusable, and
if you limit it to 3 tasks/day , then it takes 4 days just to have currency
to even play 1 full board, thus making day 1-3 forfit on prizes...
Lets say there was even enough tasks/keys to play just 1 board each day.
Thats 480++ GP pts , and 80-85 bldgs as prizes..... thats insane !!!!
Events are a big source, I'm guessing, of revenue.... pretty much nowadays
anything above 280 is really good luck, or $$$$$ to Inno.....
I'm not a fan of using a task list, but I do it because I don't scout, finish
provinces, or do reg encounters. I have to Sync up tasks with availability
of both Spire & Tourn encounters. I have to the "or" on other tasks like
scouting or provinces...... Its actually the only challange there is to me
in finishing ALL the tasks each event. I've learned to be patient on which
days I play, and budget my event currency.
Does this mean I don't want to play 1 board a day.... I sure as heck do.
I also want to be able to do a few tasks each day , not just 1 for 3 weeks,
but understand the only reason I cannot, is cause I went thru tasks faster
than the game kinda wants me to, and that there are only X amt of total
event currency possible..... So thats on me , not the Devs....
As long as tasks are abusable because they arent properly balanced per/CH
we'll never eliminate problems about how the structure of Events are. Almost
all other solutions are nightmares for the Devs, because you start to have to
implement like caps on "helpers" usage.
Just as the Suggestion page ask's for pros/cons, when us players do complain
about certain things, we have to also include concrete ways to solve things,
not just say we hate "this or that".
