A CHarming tree event (spoilers)

mucksterme

Oh Wise One
Anyone know when this goes live?

Also, how to speed through:

1) Queue up a Power of Provision
2) Queue up 3x 1 day workshop production
3) Spam out as many level 1 workshops as you can afford.
4) Depending on how long it takes you to scout, and how long it will take you to grind through the production, you may want to start your scouting as soon as the event comes up. However, if you suspect it may take longer to do the production than do the scouting, delay until you get the timings right.

The first eight or so shouldn't even slow you down as long as you have queued up the PoP spell.

#9 is why you spammed workshops. You need 30x 1 hour production, so the more workshops you have, the better

Once you complete #11 (10x 3h workshop), you can sell all your excess workshops except the three you had already queued up a one day production in.

Once you complete #12, you can get rid of those three as well.

When you are asked to spend 30KP, don't research any completed techs until you hit the next one.

It is theoretically possible to hit #16 by the end of the first day, depending on what you have queued and how many workshops you have.

Then you get to take a break until your two PoP spells are ready. Nothing to be done here. Queue up your troops now if necessary.

From there, it's just the last two quests and you're done. This is likely to be the most time consuming part of this, because unless you're in a solid guild, the 24 relics are going to be a PITA without doing encounters that you'll need for the last quest. Visits might help a little, but really... either you're going to have to spam out a couple of extra provinces to scout or you're going to have to do well in a tournament to complete it without hassles.

The last one is straightforward: Three provinces. Complete them all.

I've already got the 1 day and 9 hour workshops done and disconnected. I also have 6 other level 1 ws available to help with the other tasks.
As Soggy said, I have 1 1/2 pop spells done and disconnected.
I've scouted 2 provinces so that when I scout one for #14 that'll give me 24 encounters available.
I use Crazy's guide http://crazywizard.info/en/tnt_scout_times.html to help plan my scouting.
I figure on using the tourney to satisfy most of my relic and kp needs

The main lesson for any new people. If you want to get through any of these events with minimum loss of sanity
Use these helpful task lists from beta players to preplan
and use the tourney as much as possible to complete tasks

Events have always started 1 week after the beta version in my experience so I have informed my FS to expect it to go live on June 13. This didn't start on the usual Monday or the not-as-usual Sunday but on a Tuesday. The easiest way to fulfill the relics quest would be if you're on it before FS chest rewards.

There is a new mini event that started on Beta, and should be here in a week or two.

Note: I won't be making a full walkthrough, as this event really doesn't need one. Just check out the quest list, and plan ahead for the bold blue ones that might give you some trouble. For prep, I'd queue up 2 PoP spells, and scout 2 provinces before the event starts. Everything else you can get from the tournament. Maybe make 3 extra level 1 workshops and set them to 1 day toolboxes.

1. Spend 1 KP
2. Gain a small amount of supplies
3. Buy a KP
4. Gain 2 relics
5. Produce simple tools 3x (15min workshop)
6. Solve 3 encounters
7. Gain a small amount of coins
8. Gain 1 Power of Provision spell
9. Produce Bread 30x (1h workshops)
10. Produce Basket of Groceries 5x (9h workshop) and
-10b Gain a decent amount of supplies
11. Produce advanced tools 10x and
-11b Gain a decent amount of supplies
12. Produce Toolboxes 3x (1 day workshops) and
-12b Gain a decent amount of supplies
13. Train 100 units
14. Scout a province or upgrade a building to level 12+
15 Spend 30 knowledge points
16. Research 1 technology
17. Gain Power of Provision Spell 2 times

18. Gain a Good amount of coins (a lot)
19. Train 150 troops
20. Gain 24 relics
21. Clear 24 encounters on world map

I actually like the colour coded highlighting better than the preplanning walk thru instructions as it looks easier and overall less busy to me. It has highlighted the problems and most of us have been playing long enough that we know what needs to be done for that step, and it is not the same for all of us. The other thing, just a line after the challenging ones saying "prepped" would probably serve very well for people, especially if they are playing more worlds.

Yeah, it really depends on the event.
For Winter there was over 100 quests to get through, and loads of productions to set up, so a step by step helped.
For Menhirok there were fewer quests and lots of time, so I tried out a super lazy plan for people to follow.
For Charming tree it's the easiest event so far, and just pointing out the problem spots is enough.

In the big events you want to complete the quests as fast as possible so that you have the maximum number of snowflakes/essence when the "good" prizes come up. Mini events that are simply pass/fail are different in that sense.

Considering all previous events this event will start tomorrow.

all former vents have started 7 days after beta, because of the national holiday of pinkster, this was pushed back to tuesday, but I see no reason why it should not come to us tomorrow.

This is the 1st 'event' I've seen. Have been following the advice y'all have posted in order to get stuff ready (thanks for the heads up!) but I have a question as to the sequence. Is this quest linear? Can I complete some of the items ahead of when the helper dude asks for'em and receive the completed quest when he does come through with it?

(<<< Do note the 'crossed fingers' over there. ;))

It's linear. you can only prepare some quests in advance

13 Scout 1 province or upgrade 1 building to lvl 12 or higher
14. Spend 30 KP
15. Research one technology
16. Gain Power of Provision Sell 2 x
17. Gain a good amount of coins
18. Train 150 units
19. Gain 24 relics
20. Solve 24 encounters

It seems like it is more likely that you just missed quest 13, instead of it being removed from the Beta version of the quests. If this revised list is supposed to be correct, then what is the 21st quest? According to the in-game quest information you must solve 21 quests to earn the Charming Tree reward.
