Second question to clear up misconception, But, do you have to complete the waypoint that you contribute to? Or just make any contribution before moving on to the next stage? Wanna get this right so nobody gets left behind.

Easiest to explain is "If your name appears anywhere on the stage, then you will get a prize when the flag is taken"

Hidden pitfall there for new players. If you joined a fellowship with open membership with ghost officers, and there is no one at ambassador rank or above who is active, you can't capture the flag. Even if you finish the stage, you won't get a prize.

If you change teams, you cannot contribute to the event at all.
