Its not my business so if I am over stepping please dont answer, why not?

You are in dwarves, so your score would land you in pretty much any fS with an opening. If you start at number 1 in your FS lists and read the overview pages for only the ones that have an opening it wouldn't take you long to find a group that perfectly matches your play style.

Good Arch Mages do not lie on their overview pages, Good Arch Mages will not lie to you in personal messages when you ask for info on the group.

So, say, you don't really want to chat, and you don't want to participate in tournaments, and lets say you are after a pretty city and don't want to go boosted only and you only want to do one visit a week....that group is out there.

I don't mind answering. Because I'm a Lone Wolf. :) I like calling my own shots. Maybe it's just ignorance on my part. Would you define what goes on in a Fellowship? Is one person 'in charge' or are they equal? I created my own FS but it consists of a member of 1. I'm not advertising for members. Thank you for your response.

It's the end of the road currently, but they add new content on a regular basis. In January Sorcerers and Dragons didn't exist.

Oh wow. I didn't realize that!

I cannot define a FS, because there are too many types of FS. Yes there are a few where the Alpha rules with an iron fist. There are oligarchies and democracie,s republics and socialist communes. There are also loose gatherings of lone wolves that want access to tournaments but no other ties :).

For the most part the Archmage is in charge, they set the requirements. But it is really not hard to find a FS that has zero requirements, or very few requirements.

Ha, we have a fellowship like that! We do like frequent visits (3-4 a week), but don't jump all over you if you can't make it...some of us are chatty, others never chat. It's a stress free zone where all we really want is to be available to help each other out when we can, and ask for it when we need it...otherwise we all just play our game and enjoy it in the way that works best for us. If you're in Winyandor look us up when/if you're ready.

I'm in Dwarves too, newly, and am having to adjust to the new pace of playing. I hear this is where players often start a new city in a different world, to have a focus while waiting on copper to grow...lol. Not for me, but an option.

I've also been concentrating on upgrading my residences as that tech didn't require granite or copper to complete and as they upgrade, they create a lot of new space. I'm planning to build my copper mines with all that free space. So...slow going but don't give up!

I'm also playing in the beta world in a tiny city. :) I'm fanatical about Elcysandir but hate typing the name or looking for the file I keep with the name in it because I can never remember it. ha-ha. Thank you for the birds eye view of your fellowship. Having never been in one I had no idea how they function.

I definitely have been agonizing over creating free space, but there isn't anything I want to get rid of. I have way too many residences but have to have them in order to balance out upgrading my workshops/manufactories. But I think I noticed that the copper foundaries are not dependent on population when I upgrade. Maybe it was an illusion.

I won't give up. :) I'm working on a city expansion so that I can build more copper and granite mines. I think this is where a fellowship would be handy because I'm at the mercy of whoever will accept my trade. Waiting, waiting, waiting. :)

Guest race buildings do not use population or culture...just space, coins, supplies and goods....did I mention space :)

There are actually fellowships who don't care at all waht you do, and might not even chat. The one thing it then provides is an extra group of people who you can help, and who can help you for coin and supplies, if you want, and who's trades you can see. Plus, if any of them want to play in the tournaments, you all get more rewards than you will by yourself.

There's honestly room, and value, for fellowships that are just a bunch of lone wolves. You should totally start one.

Ugh, I know what you mean. I have extra culture sometimes just because it's pretty and I've waited and waited to open it but then where to put all these granite and copper mines? Just by focusing on upgrading residences instead of the portal for a week, I freed up 2 1/2 expansion-sized lots. Now when I build the copper and more granite the pace will pick up a bit. Worth the pause to me, plus I got 20 extra pop in each upgrade. The question is, do you have the space to upgrade the residence as it goes from 3 x 3 to 2 x 4....Lol, I do appreciate this game though, for the choices it makes us face and for its challenges, however frustrating at times.

Well I'm glad you have the Beta city and, of course, there is always the forum to fill the time, which you obviously already knew :) I never even logged on to the forum 'til I hit Dwarves and needed a distraction from clicking on 12 granites every 30 minutes, lol. It's such a gold mine of information I can't believe I made it this far without it!

Hah. That was cute. :) I did start one from the beginning. I just haven't recruited. I'm pretty active and busy on my own.

When I am through the Dwarven realm and enter Fairies, is that when I can sell the Portal and mines?

Ashrem

Oh Wise One
You will get a quest to sell the portal. You can sell the mines whenever you want, but the half you get back goes into your bank and takes up room. Until you need the space, that value is safely stored in the mines, where you can get it when you need to build fairy stuff.

(edit: if you are feeling a burning need to reorganize your city, that's different. otherwise, leave the mines alone til you need the materials and money and space.)

the copper has never been an issue for me, it is granite - i have had to be patient and wait and wait, but i am finally at the last two tiers of dwarves then on to fairies. i have my portal at 4, and have just had my copper at 1 & 2 levels, and the granite is spread between 1, 3, 4 levels, i have not wanted to spend the granite to grow them, my bad, also my sillyness! i have done it tho! patience is the key! dumping KPs into your fellowship's AW is great, as well as your neighbors, mine have been stellar and given me KPs too! actually we are looking for a few new active players in my fellowship - it is amazing being part of a team, the hard work is not as hard, because you have help from friends. if there is anyone here looking, come check us out, Fairy Tale in Khelonaar! I am thinking of writing a new post looking for new members.... :) happy gaming everyone! thanks for all the great pointers i get from checking out the forums!

I have copper issues and I have all at level 2 or above. It takes forever. I have 13 copper and 17 granite. I can't seem to get ahead in either. Trying to get through the Dwarves research has been incredibly slow. It's unfortunate that we can't buy copper and granite with supplies. I don't have room to build any more mines.

Ashrem, what 'bank' are you referring to?

Do I 'have' to build the Wayfarer's Tavern?

Ah, I see. Thank you.
