The May Celebration Event Discussion

I just got a pop up message asking if I had fully evolved the Festive May Tree yet. I know I'm just starting this game but I have to wonder just what percentage of players actually have 160 Royal Restorations in stock to fully evolve it?

It sounds like you're mixing up two concepts.

Royal restorations (RRs) change the chapter level of a building. Evolutions are different, and are done only with artifacts that are specific to that building.

No amount of RR spells can change the evolution levels on any evolving building.

Or they might be the perfect thing for people who don't fight.
When you have one of those encounters that just has one enemy unit. Say a priest. You can throw 5 Free squads of archers in there and save some goods.

They are also good for those players so anti-fighting that they avoid making troops at all. And since these give you squads based on your squad size, not how much you can make in a stack, they go a long way to completing event tasks that require troop production.

That's true, though the 5 squad instants are likely sufficient for that. I can't see a cater-only player being interested in a 25 squad instant over a building or something like 30 AW KP. But I could be wrong. I haven't seen many complaints about it. But I seem to remember there being complaints back when the 3 craftable troop buff buildings were taking up daily exclusive slots. Some didn't see the value in them (ohhh how wrong we were). I didn't either early on, but after using them just once, I saw how awesome they can be.

Unfortunately the troop quests of events and fellowship adventure do not register the use of troop instants for their train/recruit troop quests.

Just a noob question, what can I do with the second tree from this event? You get one from the quest line and second is a one of the grand prizes on the seed game.

This second tree is given once you get enough artifacts to fully evolve your first one, so that you can use the artifacts you will get after.

I go to the casinos occasionally with my husband. Frankly, this feels a lot like the slot machines. I prefer blackjack or Texas Holdem, if I'm going to gamble. Lose the shuffle. Give better prizes. We don't need relics. That's for the newbies, not the more developed cities. Plus, we can make those in the magic academy. GENERAL RULE: If it can be made in the magic academy, it's not a prize. I do like the 1x1 higher culture items and some of the other higher culture buildings as well. Unfortunately, those are few and far between.

Why offer two of the evolving buildings? I thought the developers had a problem with the ease in which players were getting more than one. Why in the world would they make it even easier? Oh, I forgot. It's so people will buy the seeds to get the extra evolving artifacts. It's all about money and I don't blame Inno for thinking about profits. I appreciate the fact that this game is free to play. I'm just saying, don't hold candy in front of the baby if you're going to complain when the baby grabs it.

About the evolving buildings, I have not even bothered building most of them. The only two I have in my city are the Fire Phoenix and Brown Bear. The rest are good for disenchantment. If not for the Time Warp wonder, I would have considered building the Polar Bear, but would not have had enough artifacts to evolve it and the Brown Bear is far more valuable.

Small culture buildings are craftable in MA too... and these from MA are even better than this event's filler prizes
I got the second tree before I had enough artifacts to fully evolve the first.
How many artifacts were missing ? As I'll use my seeds tomorrow, I don't know where the second May tree is. Second evolving building used to be after 9 artifacts. This time, since one artifact will be given with the last quest, that's maybe why one artifact was missing.

Me too, and I'm not planning to evolving the first one to full as I like the stage 7 which gives 1 rune shards a day for ancient artifacts (I'm new player so those are a great value to me right now), but will keep the evolve pieces in inventory for later...if I ever decide to fully evolve the tree.
Which brings me back to...what to do with the second tree? Can it be used for upgrade the first one or broken in to something useful?

It cycles after 7. probably assuming you will get at least two of the three from finishing the quests.

No, after 6 artifacts. 6 from the grand prizes and 3 from the bonus bar for the 9 needed. The 7th artifact from the grand prizes comes after the 2nd base, so if someone gets that far, they do not have to complete all 58 quests for the 9th artifact.

I just got past the second May tree and have nine artifacts in one city, and have yet to claim the final one, so I seem to have an extra one from somewhere.

Working on first Portal profit, and nine already in inventory:

I was specifically watching mine when I did it and I did not get a 7th artifact from the grand prizes until after the second tree. Remember that their system has an artifact right after an evolving building base in the grand prize rotation, without the usual filler prize in between. So you may have just tapped your way through without realizing it. After all, this method of prize winning is easy to zone out on and not pay attention to.
