I only had 3 double days like soggy
Did some players get an extra one ?
Everyone got 4. The problem is that one of those double sprout days was glitched for people who got a reduced province expansion offer which hid the fact that you also had the double sprouts. I had that issue and discovered that I did in fact have double sprouts by opening a box and seeing that I got twice as many sprouts than expected. Only when the province offer expired did the double sprouts deal show up, but by then there were only a few hours left. Seems like a bad coding issue that prevented more than 1 offer from appearing at the same time.

I think there were 4, one each weekend. The 3rd one i think was the glitch, but I anticipated it, based on info from gamersgems as well as because I expected it to be every weekend. So when it didn't seem like there was one, I came to the forums to check things out and someone had already posted about the glitch, verifying that there was indeed a double day then so I went ahead to open my nutshell then

Hmmm, I only saw 3 double sprouts offers, could be because of the diamond expansion offer (which is a joke). And @SoggyShorts I used your work around on the glitch, I too used all my saved nuts and got no building, just some coins and time instants. That did indeed seem to work. ;)
I for one am glad the event is over, though I did get some very useful prizes. I believe I will be for the most part skipping the Hollow event, (pun intended) as the prizes aren't interesting enough for me to try to squeeze any extraneous buildings into my city, and I have unplaced useful buildings still from this event. Dragons are KEELING me for space and I know Winter is coming. ;) :p
Thanks @innogames for the fun event.

what I particularly liked about how this event was set up was that it allowed you to choose what reward you wanted to get, at a reasonable return rate. generally, there would have been 3 possibilities:

1. "I want all the Grand Prizes and I don't want to spend diamonds" - you could settle for having fewer choice daily prizes by focusing on the double sprout days. I got all 3 GPs and still got 5 daily prizes of my choice, which I think is reasonable

2. "I don't care for Grand Prizes and I don't want to spend diamonds" - you could ignore the double sprout days and gotten more useful daily prizes, including the event-exclusives like Hazeltown, Branchwood of Nuts, Eldrasil's Sawmill and so on. Even with this option, you would probably have gotten at least the first or even possibly the second GP, especially if you opened mostly large nutshells.

3. "I want everything and don't mind spending diamonds" - you get the best of both worlds, at the cost of some real moolah

Additionally, you'd have to be at least moderately to highly active and complete almost all the sequential and daily quests.

This, I feel, is reasonable and fair. To get everything without either spending some time or some money - that would actually not be reasonable or fair. Furthermore, quest info from the beta was completely available to anyone who bothered to look, and I do think if you really want something, the least you could do is make some effort to find out how to get it. For the uninitiated, the forums or FS are always available for help. So really, I have no complaints at all about how the event was designed and I hope future events will be planned similarly.

ok - so there's going to be a "slight reduction" to the culture provided by the flowering nutcave. Can someone tell me what this works out to for Chapter 9 before I get hammered? I acquired 7 of these and placed them all (trading in other event items), based on their attributes as they appeared in my Summonings. Something tells me I'm going to be very hosed when the release goes in. :(

It may not be as bad for you. In Woodelves, you'll need the mana. It comes out to 700 culture and 1080 mana/12hr if won in Chapter 9.

@USAZorro You actually should be really happy with the change, the nut cave gives double the mana per square compared to willows

I suspect I will be taking a major hit on Culture (-1500 x 7) I deleted buildings with about 7,200 of mana production to obtain 4,900 of mana production, vice the 15,400 that I thought I was getting. The point is that I made substantial good faith decisions that can't be undone without extraordinary intervention - which will be changed without recourse. Had I known, I would have evaluated based on reality. I feel that has been taken away from me.

edit... and... apparently they need to be connected to roads - which is not where I put them. I spent 4 hours yesterday re-organizing my city after finally making chapter 9. I will be very much an unhappy camper if something isn't done to set things right.

I don't know, what do you think could have been done on the part of the devs? Short of there being a daily reminder, which I personally think would have been a bit over the top, I can't think of any other way.
Drat! Been on vacation and only occasionally logged on to try to complete this event and help my fellowship. Was not looking for information on double sprout days because I did not know they existed. I subscribe to the newsletter but did not receive any message about double sprout days.

Support should have informed me about these days when they left me a message telling me the notification appearing in the upper right corner was just to let us know how much time until the second questline would start. Ultimately, it's the game developers who should have informed ALL Elvenar players about double sprout days when the event started.

Thank you RandomNo for letting me know about these special days. Next event, I will be looking for any special days that help us get the top prizes.

Well, I am happy with Eldrasil Arising (I finally learned how to say that freaky name, but it still sounds pharmaceutical to me.) I won 13 daily prizes and 2 grand prizes, making 325 sprouts toward the 800 needed for the 3rd grand prize. The three daily prizes I tried for and did not win were duplicates of prizes I already have, and I am okay with having only one of each to try to find room for. I went way past the point I quit in disgust during March of the Herds, to finish all but the last of the sequential quests. I am glad to have the extra population, and I needed the culture, too. I like having the population provided by decorative pieces, rather than another boring row of residences. I especially like not having to connect all of those structures to roads. I only wish the amount of population in these structures would grow with the city, like the boring residences and the Golden Abyss do. I liked having a chance to pick up prizes that I did not win before. I wish I could sell prizes and nuts and sprouts to other players, either directly or in the trader. My city is in better shape than before the Eldrasil Arising event, instead of bankrupt like it was after I quit the March of the Herds. The art work on this event is attractive and appealing.

That being said, I do not care for the roulette wheel of spinning for prizes. If this game is going to push gambling, selling extra spins for $10 a spin on the little wheel or 3 spins on the big wheel for $20, then there should be more stringent age restrictions on playing, and more cautions. When I walk into a casino, or log onto a poker site, I have a clear idea from its very name of the gambling risks. This game hides those risks and sugar-coats them, with an inadequate one-time caution of "in-game purchases" and a barely understood chart of the chances of winning prizes. Even awarding many prizes is a kind of marketing ploy; having so many new building prizes to find room for presents a sore temptation to buy more diamonds than one would normally plan to spend, to purchase city expansions on a steeply accelerating price scale that is not clearly explained before the purchase of diamonds.

Did you read my post about Local Bonus buildings? (I hear you on the boring rows things)

Fun event. Thanks to everyone involved.

It does seem like events like these kind of fizzle out towards the end, though. I feel like it should end on a fanfare. Like, the next time you log on after the event's ended the whole town should shake, nuts fall everywhere, Eldrasil turns up and makes some huge pronouncement, and then the tree in the background and all the nuts fade into nothing and the valley is returned to eternal spring.

Okay, maybe not. Just a thought. :p

"fizzle out" is being generous, it just vanishes without a trace.
They should at the very least have the quest giver pop out when you complete the last quest to congratulate you, and again when the event is over. Your idea of it raining nuts is awesome though!

I was only interested in specific prizes, so I did not partake in the double sprout days. I got the majority of the prizes I wanted-some in excess! At first, I wasn't interested in the last daily prize, I started dumping all my hazelnuts on the Merchant III, hoping to get the second grand prize. In Khelonaar, this resulted in me winning 7 Merchant III & I now have GP #2 in every realm, I think. When the last daily prize showed as an all culture item, I threw what I had left in & got it in 3 out of 5 cities. One city I got two of them & in another, I got 3. If they nerf it back to the tiny culture/tiny supply option, then I may get rid of them (why do we call it 'selling them', if we aren't getting anything for them?

It would be nice if the Fall Foliage would hang around till the Snow Event comes.
Jumping right back to total greenery was a bit jarring.

Absolutely loved this event! It was fun finding the nuts and the daily prize offerings were both beautiful and useful. Thank you!
