if the shuffleboard did not have the hidden reshuffle, would your opinion of the feature change?
So, if the end-of-day auto shuffle stayed, just the hidden reshuffle was removed.

Bluntly speaking... No, my opinion of the shuffle is it stinks.
If I wanted to play shuffleboard I can go find a Senior's shuffleboaord court somewhere, I'm sure. This is just silly!
I agree with Samidodamage as I would be more likely to spend a few diamods if the chests were brought back and I had some semblance of choice.
I can't imagine anyone thinking it's fun. It's mindless and reminds me of a childs game. More adults play this game than children.
The Pros are the artwork. Nicely done as usual.
The end.

I do not mind the Shuffle mechanic, but I do not like that it can happen before you hit the daily prize. However, I think the player controlling when it happens makes it too easy. I would like to see something in between, and something I think I saw other people suggest during the Winter event, and that would that when you get the daily prize, a shuffle is automatically triggered.
How is this in between? I'm not quite understanding how this is less "easy" than the player controlling it.

Regarding what the few have said about the email seeds.

I submitted a ticket and they said they'll forward it to the "team", but not holding my breath over it. Would've been nice to have those extra 50 seeds though...

And I also second the pet food request. At my chapter level they are kinda expensive to craft. Most of the time, my phoenixes stay unfed. Having food as prizes would be great.

I, at the very least, want to be able to tell it when to shuffle. If I get the daily then chances are that I do not want to go through all of the items to guess at trying to find a shuffle. First it is mindless guessing and then it is purely wasteful guessing. I do not like this style at all but the shuffle when I don't want it and no shuffle when I do want it really stinks!

I got another message that yet another high level players is leaving. Just tired. Thing is I feel that way a lot of the time now. I can't help but wonder if this event was the last straw for them. We are seeing way too many leaving the game just tired or burned out. I don't want to add to that list of players gone so I'm going to try getting new stuff from this event. I used to really enjoy that. Events were a favorite for me. Then they decided that stupid formats like this is a good idea while so many of the consolation prizes (think 1 KP or relics) are thrown in with much lower value versions (think instants) and usually lower value prizes. I was one of the only players I know who actually switched out my old event buildings for the new event buildings. Now there is so much waste and so much is a crap shoot that I gave up. So trying again for one more attempt to avoid joining the list of just tired players.

I also have not received the usual email announcement/gift. What's up with that?

We goofed up the email and had to put an emergency halt to it. Some were sent out, but the email links were not giving out the gifts (for anyone on any server/world/country). We tried to get it fixed today, but unfortunately were not able to, so it's still work-in-progress. Hopefully, it'll be fixed tomorrow (European time tomorrow).

I am curious about one thing - if the shuffleboard did not have the hidden reshuffle, would your opinion of the feature change?

This won't change my opinion of the lotto mechanics. With the 3 chest mechanics you have a lot more control over what is it that you want to target over the long term. And usually in most draws useful stuff in at least 1 chest had >> 1/16=6% chance of showing up.

As of right now the only reason I'm playing this event is because I'm actually interested in a very select few of the dailies to replace outdated event buildings that I don't want to use Royal Restoration spells on. Otherwise I would be completely sitting it out like I did for the winter event. As I said during the winter event I completely dislike the randomness of the prize board. If I wanted to play a lottery system I'd go play the lottery or go to a casino. At least with the chest system I had a bit of control in going after what I was interested in. I play this game because I like to strategize. This takes pretty much any strategy out of the equation. I feel no incentives to spend money on this event. BTW receiving 10 seeds, 1kp, 1 dust relic, and 1 elixir relic on 4 different pulls of the slot as per say is just insulting. It really feels like a waste of the time and effort put into completing the quests. I also have to agree that the way that the shuffle works justs makes things even worse. It wouldn't matter if improvements were made to the shuffle mechanicism. I would still pretty much hate this type of event with this type of reward system. Also the "grand" prize isn't really worth the amount of time and effort needed either, even if it is just a mini-event. Once the remaining 2 dailies that I'm interested in come up I will stop playing this event.
[Edited to add] The whole random mechanic with how many flowers each life essance adds too just stinks. At least with the chests we knew what we were getting there.

It is going alright so far. I have finished all 38 sequential quests and today's daily quest. Got five of today's daily prize, which I wanted, so I am happy with that. Currently working on the 8th grand prize, so four artifacts from that, plus two from the prize track. And now I will save up for the next daily I want on day eight.

I don't believe it is about making it easy. That would return one point of choice into this horrible mess that is the shuffleboard style event. I have no choice on what prizes to avoid, or prioritize - other than prioritizing nothing by not playing at all.

The winter event, I was almost happiest when I got the pet food (hint: please restore pet food). If I had gotten the daily prize and still had pet food on the board, there might have been times I would still want to try for that. I had a couple of times in the winter event I hit the double prize spot and then hit 3x pet food prize right after. This netted 6, yes 6!!!! pet food. I was in pet food heaven then. Honestly during the winter event, that pet food was often more valuable than some of the daily prizes.

If they are going to stick with this unwanted, despised form of prize system they can at least throw us some sort of a bone, or pet food maybe? Let us choose when and how to use them. Then, in addition to saving seeds for days you want, you might be able to get a small amount of shuffles to use on the 1 day of the prize you want the most. I have as much control over this as I do of the winning lottery numbers and I think that is what frustrates most of us. I'd prefer to scrap the whole mechanism, but barring that please return some level of choice.

Besides, I just had a horrible thought of be careful what you wish for. Removing the shuffle would simply allow them to replace it with another relic. Woohoo!!!

Glad to see you are thinking it through!

We truly do appreciate all the feedbacks given in our discussion threads, never hesitate to provide them! As a friendly reminder, they reach the developers faster if they are given in their dedicated discussion threads :)

Following on with this one - if anyone has any idea on what an alternative system to the random shuffle could be, then please do say.
For some reason, it's always easier for me to approach the team with feature replacement requests rather than 'remove this' requests.

So far, this seems like a reasonable alternative:

If they want to persist with the Shuffle Board, the Reshuffle should appear on your board as a button that you can click to activate, once you have gained the Exclusive, to move to the next screen when you want to.

This idea turns the reshuffle into an advantage.

I'd be fine with that suggestion. I don't want it to ever be automatic. There might still be something I want of the options on the shuffle board after getting the daily prize. In many situations not, but that way I could make the decision and have some control over my event destiny. :)

But, if you replace it in the board and make it an automatic button, please replace it with something decent (pet food, KP instants 10+) not relics or coin rain or small kp amounts

I completely agree with Jackluyt's suggestion! I don't like the shuffle board but moving the reshuffle to be player choice would be a BIG improvement. Of course it would have to automatically shuffle when new daily arrives but any other time I want it to be my choice.

Adding: If I'm going to spend $ on the event then I feel really cheated and robbed when it reshuffles at a bad time. It really is a great incentive NOT to spend $ on the event but somehow I don't think that is what their intention is :p

Here's a thought:
1. GET RID OF THIS ENTIRE FETHING-AWFUL, GAKFEST OF A MINI GAME!!
Why? You guys just ripped it strait out of FoE. It has universally been *hated* in FoE. Why bring such a toxic, suck'tastic system over here when INNO already has 8+ years of negative feedback on it from the game it was initially designed for?

2. Port over the GOOD FoE mini games, such as;
a) Archaeology/Halloween events:
[youtube]
[youtube]

b) Fall 'Baking' event: [youtube]

c) St. Patrick's event: [youtube]
okay, yes, I know that this event was a really divisive "absolutely loved it" vs. "worst dumpster fire ever!" ragefest...
but honestly, this event I personally found to be outstanding both for the level of critical thinking & planning required to be successful, AND, there were multiple paths to take in achieving the desired result of a max/near max Lv2 set...
Personally, I managed to complete 10 total cities, averaging about 52hrs per completion, and still managed a full Lv2 set.

What do all these mini games have in common which make them so enjoyable?
They're actively engaging, especially the level of micro-managing that's possible for those who ended up addicited to the St. Patty's mini game, and they all require a good use of strategy & planning to maximize one's results.
This vs. the brainless, "look up chart and pick only the 2-3 most optimal chests every time" style of events, and/or the current raging dumpster fire that's the current "ultimate RNG roulette of DOOOOOOOOOooooooooooooooom!"

So please, if we're just going to turn Elvenar events into reskins of FoE events, (which let's face it, we totally have been doing for a while now!), then let's at least get the GOOD and ENJOYABLE ones, instead of the current fart-fest.  :(

Thanks for letting me know, Nightguest. I got two emails and neither of them worked, so I'll look forward to the next one.

So far I think that Jackluyt has offered the best solution by having the shuffle as a feature that the players can control. However for me the biggest issue is the shear randomness of things anymore when it comes to these events. Players with multiple cities in different worlds that put in the same amount of effort completing the all of the quests in each world shouldn't end up with such varying amounts of artifacts. If I recall correctly in past events there was a spread of 3 or more artifacts that players earned for completing the same quests. Doing the same amount of work. Using the same strategy in all of their cities. It all came down to the randomness of the chests which at least there people can use a strategy to determine which chests they want to open and how they want to try to maximize their chances at winning a certain prize. For me this new system with the scratch off card is even worse. The prize board is random. The amount of flowers produced by 1 life essence is random. At least last years random quests are gone. I personally feel cheated with how the events have been lately. I've stopped spending money on this game within the last year because it seems like events are more of a game of chance now compared to how they used to be. I feel that events should be used to enchance the game and be engaging. I think Inno has gotten away from that. This just clicking and the game of chance doesn't make events engaging. It makes them boring. So I'm sitting out more and more. The dialies also shouldn't be more interesting than the grand prize. I don't have any answer on how to improve things because even the past events I enjoyed the most clearly had their issues or else they would still be around. I personally liked when there was different levels of grand prizes, one that all players could get, one that the more hard core players could get as they spent more time logging in to the game, and then the best one for those die-hards that were willing to spend some money to get the final grand prize. I still play because I still overall enjoy figuring out how to make my city work as I move through the chapters and really enjoy that puzzle aspect of it. I've also made some really good friends and have meet some amazing people through this game. So please try to find a way to make the events fun and engaging again because this event isn't doing it for me.

I for one like the shuffle format same as we had in winter event, but I agree that reshuffle box needs some looking at it. As someone pointed out, give us a manual 'reshuffle' button and remove it from boxes.

Here is why it is so frustrating: it makes working towards a specific reward moot, the moment you hit it. And the odds of hitting reshuffle before daily exclusive is %50. This means all the progress you made is gone for clearing other irrelevant stuff on the board to progress towards exclusive.

On a side note; is it me or is the stats on event building horribly weaker than old recent event buildings? My dwarf chapter May Tree will have same pop/cul with my chapter 2 Gingerbread Mansion at same evolve ??
