Q. How about a toggle on-and-off box in Settings to turn off 'confirm' Notifications?

It is not just the quest notifications that are annoying, having to click twice to do one thing; there are other places in the game where we are asked to confirm things over and over.
If we has a toggle switch we could turn them off and save lots of time and wear-and-tear on our mouse and finger joints - at own risk!
:)

Thanks!
I agree, but in the meantime...someone suggested using the escape key. It clears most of , what I like to called the 'Awesome boxes'. Has reduced a fair amount of clicking.

Yes...a toggle is a good idea. An end to confirming trades would be especially nice. Confirming can be helpful to a new player or for those that like to double check their choices. Nice to have the option.

Good morning!

I have an idea for making the events a little more do-able (or more fun) for the newer players, if I may..

One of the things that messes me up, as I can only play 3 hrs/day, 5 days/week, is that I'll get to the last event quests, and find that I cannot accomplish those goals within my time constraints.

This is frustrating, as after all the resources & time I've spent, I won't reap the rewards of completion.

The solution? Set a menu of quests, and allow the player to complete in whatever order they choose!

This works out for the player in many ways, especially the quests that demand completing of many encounters in one stroke.

It's also good to wipe out all the easy quests in one fell swoop, as it were, freeing up the time to take up the longer quests with more time on the event clock.

Is this do-able?

Thanks!

Player Movement - repeat question

Hi Timon!

There is no doubt that the Player Movement system is vastly improved over the way it used to be - and it is slowly improving even more.

But equally there is no doubt that your design team are still falling far short of their stated objective - which is to move all the inactives outward slowly, and drift the active players towards the center of the board.

I know that you are aware of this and are working on a more efficient system.

Could you tell you when we can expect this system to REALLY work - so lots and lots of totally inactive cities around us can be seen to be moving away, and replaced by fresh, better players - not the influx of 'newbies', as at present - who soon become inactive just like the ones they are replacing?

It would make the game SO much more interesting if active players could all work together - which is not happening...

Thanks!!.

Q 1. Crystal Lighthouse and Bell Spire Changes

Hi Timon and Rike!

You have changed the structure of these Ancient Wonders - so one now gets goods only when one opens a Treasure Chest. Seeing there are are only three chests a day, it follows that people who visit more often than thirty times a day will be losing out - and people like myself who visit 240 times on some days are going to lose really badly!

Here is a suggestion - could you consider it please?

1. Give us extra chests - lets say one every twenty visits, after the basic three that we have at the moment - then the more one visits, the more goods one gets.
Which will encourage people to visit!

2. Could you consider giving some Mystery Chests, every now and then, as a surprise?
To add spice to the game!
1% chance of a Blueprint - but most people would just get goods or Instants.
Perhaps even an occasional Booby Prize!

Q 2. Instants in Treasure Chests

Could you please cut down the number of Relics in the chests?
Most advanced players have too many Relics!
Could we rather have Instants please?
Do you plan to do this?

Thanks!!

I have an idea for cutting the time on new builds or upgrades, we would be able to click on them and reduce the time of the builds, like by 15 min for each help from visitors.

Q. Due to tournaments it is common for people to amass a lot of relics. Once a person passes the maximum boost the relics for their boosted goods just accumulate forever as there is no method of using them. The use by leveling wonders is so small compared to the accumulation. Are there plans for these relics to be used in some fashion in the future?

Q. When tournaments changed it was mentioned that the limit of 10 broken shards would be lifted as we could win them as rewards. Is this still the plan? Any hints on when this might occur?

Could relics be a pay resource for a path in Fellowship Adventures?
Interesting, however without an ability to produce more at will, the ability to proceed on that path is going to be uneven and could deplete relics pretty quickly.

Here are a few questions I have stored up!

1. Squad size buy back

Hi!

I had been playing for more than a year before I discovered the price one pays for completing all the voluntary Squad Size increases on the Tech Tree. The more you accept, the stronger your armies in fights on the World Map - but the more expensive Tournament fighting and Catering becomes.
Eventually if you accept them all instead of declining, your performance in Tournaments gets worse and worse, becasue the really large numbers involved in fights and catering are unsustainable.

Would you please consider being kind to the Advanced Players who have made this mistake?
We were not warned!
Could you not allow us to use a Blueprint to undo those non-compulsory squad increase Technologies?
Or perhaps Diamonds?

I used to be in the top 20 in Tournaments; now with my enormous armies I struggle to make the top 100; I just can't make enough Goods and troops!

2. Joining the forum is difficult for many players

Hi!

Is it possible to look at the process for joining the Forums, to make it easier?
Many players are unable to do this, particularly the ones that play out of Facebook.
In my large Facebook group, a very high percentage have tried and given up after a few attempts.

3. Banner to add to buildings

Hi!
Here is an interesting idea that a member of our Facebook group came up with!
We know that you cannot allow Storage, and you explained that it will be difficult to have a storage museum for Event buildings - so when they grow obsolete we have to remove them and never see them again.

How about having a 'banner' or 'skin' for existing buildings as the event prizes?
Something to attach to an existing Culture building or Residence to make them more powerful by a certain percentage- and you would not lose it when you upgraded the building?

4. Gifting Diamonds

Hi!

We note that the policy regarding Diamonds is being relaxed and now one gains them on the tech tree, and you have an event building that makes them too!
In the last Q & A you said you would not give daily log-in Diamond awards as some other games do, which is a pity, because when you give away Diamonds, people have to spend them at the store. And that gets them into the habit of spending Diamonds which is what you would like, isn't it?
:)

I have noticed that there is a facility in the store for 'coupon code' to be entered - though you don't seem to use it much.
I would like to give gifts of Diamonds every week to my Facebook group as prizes in a competition.
Could you not make it possible for us to buy Diamonds as gifts?
It would be extra income for you!

5. Player migration

Hi!

Can you tell us what is happening with player migration?
More than a year ago we were told that inactive players would be gradually moved towards the outskirts of the Map, and newcomers would be moved towards the center - so we would all have more active neighbors.

This process seems to have stopped.
Are there plans to start doing this again, please?

6. A Store – to buy Orcs, goods etc.

Hi!

One of our Facebook group members asked if we could not have a game store where we could buy game items for real money. So if we needed a few materials or goods or Orcs, we could buy just as much as we need.

You would probably make a lot more income that way - because many players can't afford to buy massive packages of Diamonds!

7. Dedicated pre-planned Q & A session

Hi!

We have 'Ask Timon & Rike' threads on the EN, US and Beta Forums.
Over the years, there are scores of questions there, most of which have not featured in your Q & A sessions.
Would it not be possible to invite people to submit their questions in advance - so you would have time to prepare answers - and perhaps Rike might even make a graphic to explain some of them!

It would save a lot of time!
At present much of the Q&A sessions is wasted looking for a suitable question.

Thanks!!

8. Better Event prizes!

We really like the Wishing Well that features in the current Phoenix Event - the idea of having a mystery building that spits out random prizes is wonderful.
Sadly though, when you crunch the Math, the yield over the 100 day life of the building is not really worth the nine squares it occupies - for example, statistically it would yield 200 Diamonds in its lifespan - which you could buy for the price of a burger!

We also think that the set buildings are not really a nice prize for many players - the set is too big and makes city re-design very difficult, building around it.

How about having a REALLY good Mystery building as third prize? Something very difficult to obtain - but that would give wonderful prizes once a week or so?
Most of the time it would just give a few coins or supplies or small Instants - but occasionally it might spit out something truly awesome - like winning the Lotto.

Many players would die to gain a prize like that!

I am torn on this. I have been going no diamonds spending and full squad size through the technologies, and I actually think the experience is fairly balanced. As you get the advanced troops, your tournament focus shifts to more militaristic. I am of the opinion that rather than decreasing squad size so that players can share in low values, instead to create a two path system. One path of ignoring squad size will get you the low catering costs, but cause you to be unable to fight well in tournaments. The other path would be nearly identical to full investment in squad size, allowing you to fight well (and the fighting gets easier with better troops unlocked) but keeping you with the high cater costs.

No they switched it without giving us notice notice, the old system was not based on it. Only on the amount of provinces you did, and we should not have to pay them to voluntarily reduce it, we paid quite the price in kp's and goods and gold for them.

So if we had to pay them twice that would really be (%4##) cuss word removed for the weak at heart...

I have done every squad size upgrade on the tree through the Orc chapter. I admit it has not gotten easier but why should it? Larger armies do not make fighting easier. I have been upgrading my AW 's also. The various bonuses have helped my larger armies win more. Try that.
